Sailor is the female black lab who we helped “Puppy Raise” in 2024.
In mid-November 2024, Sailor returned to Assistance Dogs of Hawaii (ADH) in Makawao on Maui to complete her training and placement.
After much careful consideration, it was decided the best “placement” for Sailor was to return Kailua and the family who raised her.
A few days before Christmas, Lisa traveled to ADH in Makawao and escorted Sailor back to our home in Kailua.
This was the BEST Christmas present EVER!
Currently, Sailor is “shadowing” Roxy (Ella’s original service dog). Ultimately, Sailor will step up when Roxy “retires” to be with Ella.
We are incredibly thankful for this opportunity to share our lives with this amazing dog. We look forward to many amazing years to come with Sailor and Roxy
