Traditions are an important part of Sacred Hearts Academy. Two of those traditions are the Athletics and Honors Convocations; both were held this past week.
We are very proud to report that Lucy was recognized for her athletic and academic accomplishments. The athletic award was for participating in track and field this Spring.
Lucy received academic honors for her outstanding work in English, Mathematics, Science.
Today’s printing of “Our Bond” – Lucy’s award winning poem in the Honolulu Star Advertiser – officially makes her a published author. Lucy’s poem was selected as the winning 6th Grade entry in the writing category of the PACT Keiki Day 2014 – Creativity Contest for Oahu Students. The picture above shows Lucy and three other winning students on the front page of today’s Star Advertiser Keiki Day Edition.
Lucy was also recognized today for her successful participation in the Sacred Hearts Academy Speech Club 2013-2014. Pictured below from left to right with Lucy is: Betty White, Head of School; Susan Phillips, Lucy’s Speech Coach; and Remee Tam, Vice-Principal.
While we are very proud of Lucy’s devotion to her studies and incredible work ethic;
we are most proud of her devotion to her faith and her family.
